David "Tiny" Andrews, 79, of Hillsboro died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019, at Hillsboro Area Hospital.

A graveside memorial service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 12, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro, with the Rev. Stefan Munker officiating. Those attending should line up at Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro at 1 p.m.

Mr. Andrews was born Aug. 31, 1940, in Livingston, to William and Esther (Cory) Andrews. He married Beverly Nieffer, and they later divorced. He then married Janice Jones on April 22, 1983, and she preceded him July 6, 2011.

A graduate of Livingston High School, he was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hillsboro, the Litchfield Moose and Board of Directors and a volunteer at the Senior Citizens Center in Taylor Springs.

He worked for the Litchfield Police Department for several years before becoming a deputy for the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department for over 30 years. He was known as a fair and just person.

He is survived by his children, Joseph Andrews of Litchfield, Sherry Zanotti and companion Steve Dunn of Litchfield, Jane Bandara of Seattle WA., Shelly Montgomery of Coffeen, Lynda Leitschuh of Litchfield,James Simmons of Arizona and Tony (Billie) Simmons of Taylor Springs; 21 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Billie Jean Cox of Blue Mound.

In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Tony Zanotti and Jessica Conway; and one brother, Richard Andrews.

Memorials may be made to the Senior Center in Taylor Springs.
