David W. McDonald, 61, of Fillmore, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020, at 11:53 a.m. at his residence.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Feb. 29, from 9 to 11 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church in Nokomis. Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Nokomis. Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. McDonald was born Feb. 16, 1959, in Olney, the son of Lowell and Carolyn (McVeigh) McDonald. He married Monica C. Marley on Dec. 29, 1990, in Nokomis, and she survives.
In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by children, Jeremiah (Laura) Marley of Ramsey, Lydia J. (Zach) Hammond of Farmersville, Lucia M. (Shane) Slightom of Fillmore, Lauren C. McDonald (husband Kyle Dunaway) of Litchfield and D. Jacob McDonald at home; grandchildren, Dominic, Colby, Weston, Otto and Charlotte; sister, Pam (John) Cormeny of Dawson; and brother, Gary McDonald of Springfield.
