Dolores A. Bensko, 94, of Witt, died on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2023, at Montgomery Nursing and Rehabilitation in Taylor Springs.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 27, at the St. Louis Catholic Church in Nokomis, located at 311 S. Elm Street. The funeral mass will begin at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Michael Meinhart officiating. Interment will follow mass at St. Barbara’s Catholic Cemetery in Witt.
Mrs. Bensko was born May 15, 1929, in Witt, the daughter of Michael and Mary (Bourey) Bensko. She was a member of St. Barbara’s Catholic Church in Witt until its closure and was a current member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Nokomis.
Mrs. Bensko is survived by many nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews; great-great nieces and great-great nephews; and great-great-great nieces and great-great-great nephews who loved her dearly; and a host of friends who she genuinely cared for.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, John Bensko, Mary Fedele, Michael Bensko, Margaret Bensko, Martha Bensko, Josephine Hutchins and Raymond Bensko.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be left to St. Louis Catholic Church, St. Barbara’s Catholic Cemetery or Witt Veteran’s Memorial.
