Dolores ‘Dee’  June Elledge, 88, of Poplar Bluff, MO, formerly of Litchfield, died on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life was held on Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff, MO. Her son, Rev. David Elledge, officiated the service.  Inurnment will take place in Illinois at a later date. Cotrell Funeral Service of Poplar Bluff, MO, assisted the family with arrangements.

Mrs. Elledge was born on June 10, 1931, in Gillespie, to Virgil and Edith Huddleston Miller. She married William Clinton Elledge on Jan. 12, 1953, in Litchfield.

Mrs. Elledge was an active and faithful member of The Bluff Church in Poplar Bluff. Her family knew her as a woman of strong faith,  a servant whose faith was the core of who she was. She was involved in serving at every church she and her husband attended, from working with preschoolers and senior adults, to  set-up at a mobile church.

The Elledges loved their children and grandchildren. They moved to Florida in 1985 to be near their two oldest grandsons. In 2005, they moved to Poplar Bluff, MO, to live near their younger son and his family. They enjoyed getting to see their youngest grand-kids grow up, graduate from high school and college, and marry.

Mrs. Elledge cared for her great-grandsons when their mom returned to work. She cared for all of her great-grandchildren at various times. She loved her own children and grandchildren, but her great-grandchildren were her greatest joy. She participated in Nerf battles, pretend play and read thousands of books with them.

Mrs. Elledge is survived by her son, David (Luann) Elledge of Poplar Bluff, MO; daughter-in-law, Catherine Elledge of Edgewater, FL; four grandchildren, Erik (Samantha) Elledge of Daytona Beach, FL, Lauren Hasanov, Lyndsee (Brandon) Moon and Luke (Leslie) Elledge, all of Poplar Bluff, MO; six great-grandchildren; Skylar Elledge of Daytona Beach, FL, Samuel and Alex Hasanov, Emmalyne and Oliver Moon, and William Elledge, all of Poplar Bluff, MO; and a sister, Carol Keeley of Benld.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a son, William L. ‘Rusty’ Elledge; grandson Aaron Elledge; sister, Maxine Bodi; and brother Gary Miller.

Memorials may be made to The Bluff Church, 2781 N Westwood Blvd., Poplar Bluff, MO 63901. Condolences will be left online at www.cotrellfuneralservice.com.
