Dolores Joyce Kruse, 86, of Litchfield, died on Friday, Sept. 6, 2019, at 9:15 p.m. in Heritage Heath Therapy and Senior Care in Litchfield.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, Sept. 12, at 11 a.m. in Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield. the Rev. Fred Kraemer of Zion Lutheran Church will officiate. No visitation will be held. Plummer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements, and the funeral procession will line up at 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Kruse was born on July 3, 1933, in Litchfield, the daughter of Benjamin and Belvia (Parrott) Kruse. She graduated from Litchfield High School with the class of 1951.
Mrs. Kruse was the office manager-bookkeeper at McKay Auto Parts in Litchfield for more than 40 years, and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield.
She played women's fast pitch softball for several years and enjoyed softball and baseball, where she was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
Mrs. Kruse loved her family and was very generous and always taking care of others. She also volunteered her time at the Litchfield Food Pantry.
She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, infant Benjamin Kruse, John A. Kruse, George Kruse and James P. "Rusty" Kruse; and two sisters, Betty Maynard and Charlene Fosnaugh.
