Don L. White, 81, of Irving died on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2019 at Tremont Ridge Assisted Living in Hillsboro.

Memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday Nov. 9, Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro with the Rev. Randy Sands officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Irving Cemetery with military rites conducted by Irving American Legion #425 and VFW Post 1306 of Taylor Springs.

Mr. White was born on Dec. 20, 1937,  in Hillsboro, the son of Wilbur and Zelma (Caulk) White. He was a graduate of Hillsboro High School and attended Bradley University in Peoria.

He married Nina Faye Clark on Oct. 17, 1959, in Denison, TX, and she preceded him in death in 2009.

He worked at Eagle Picher for over 20 years and farmed with his brother. He was past owner of Country Kitchen Restaurant in Irving.

He served in the U.S. Air Force, was a member of the Hillsboro Moose Club, a retired township supervisor, sexton at Irving Cemetery, member of the Luck and Buck Saddle Club, and enjoyed bowling, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his children, Laurie (Allan) Weitekamp of Farmersville, Denise (Grant) Wise, Michele (Larry) Reincke and Randy (Terra) White all of Irving; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Dale White of Irving.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Don White Jr. in infancy; and a brother, James White.
