Donald G. Clausen, 88, of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, April 28, 2021, in Dearborn, MI.
Burial will be held at a later date in Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro. Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Clausen was born Dec. 5, 1932, in Martinsville, to Edward Henry and Bessie Fern (Richardson) Clausen. He married Shirley Baisden, and they later divorced.
A United States Army veteran, he served in the Korean War. He worked at Great Lakes Steel in Michigan for 32 years. He and his companion, Donna Roach, traveled around to local nursing homes and senior centers, where they sang and played the organ for resident entertainment. During his lifetime, he lived in Hillsboro and Michigan.
He is survived by his children, Kevin (wife Arline) Clausen and Kenneth (wife Vanessa) Clausen; grandchildren, Stephanie, Aaron, Edward, Wayne, Joshua, Krista and Kyle; and companion, Donna Roach.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his sons, Donald Clausen, Sr. and Steven Clausen; and grandson, Donald Clausen, Jr.
