Donna D. Kibler, 64, of Maroa, died on Friday, April 24, 2020, at 9:25 a.m. at her family residence.
Private services will be conducted Tuesday, April 28, at Calvert Funeral Home in Clinton with Ron and Kathy George officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery in Clinton.
Mrs. Kibler was born Aug. 16, 1955, in Vandalia, to Norval and Wilda (Walker) Prater. She married Dale W. Kibler on Nov. 26, 1976, in Decatur, and he survives.
She owned and operated the Kibs Eatery and Mercantile in Argenta for many years, and also catered as cooking for others was her passion.
Always on the menu was the bread of life, Jesus Christ, whom she served for until the end. Mrs. Kibler was a member of Covell Community Church.
She enjoyed crocheting, collecting antiques and primitives, and building friendships along the way.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Kibler is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Jennifer A.) Kibler of El Paso and Jennifer (Patrick) Rose of Fort Benton, MT; three grandchildren, Ella Grace Kibler, Elijah Kibler and Karsyn Rose; and siblings, David Prater and Dale (Paula) Prater, both of Fillmore, and Dana (Steve) Reincke of Hillsboro.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
