Dorothy C. Weeks, 100, of Springfield, died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021, at her residence.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Feb. 24, from 9 to 10 a.m. at Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home in Springfield. Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Doug Morrow of Springfield Southern Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be held in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Springfield. CDC guidelines will be followed with the use of face masks and social distancing.

Mrs. Weeks was born Sept. 7, 1920, in Hillsboro, the daughter of Theodore and Nellie (Rhinehart) Cramer. She married Bill Weeks on July 12, 1944, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 7, 1987.

She grew up in Hillsboro, then moved to Springfield where she met her husband. She and her husband worked together at Weeks Seat Covers in Springfield for many years. She was a member of many organizations, including The American Legion, Elks Club, Eastern Star, as well as the Traveling and Walking Club, with which she traveled across the nation and around the world. 

Mrs. Weeks is survived by her sons, Bill (wife Judy) Weeks and Rodney (wife Delilah) Weeks; grandchildren, William Weeks, Sarah Heany, Rodney Weeks and Matthew Weeks; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
