Dorothy L. (Maroney) Matthews, 83, of Taylor Springs, died on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at Montgomery Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taylor Springs.
Private services will be held at a later date. Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Matthews was born June 23, 1935, in Hillsboro, to Russell Maroney and Linda (Roper) Pownall. She married Kenneth Matthews in 1951, and he preceded her in death in 2015.
During her career, she worked at Kinks Korner in Hillsboro.
Mrs. Matthews is survived by seven children, Debby Hampton, Chad (Renee) Matthews, Rusty Boucher, all of Taylor Springs, Rick (Cathy) Matthews, Terry (Vicki) Matthews, Kelly (Alice) Matthews, all of Hillsboro, and Jamie Boucher of Redding, CA; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Larry (Sheila) Maroney.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Vickie Slagel in 2017; and one sister, Carol Ash.
