Dorothy Pearl Baker, 95, of Schram City, died the afternoon of Friday, June 12, 2026.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, at Hough-Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Pastor Jerry Woods will officiate. Burial will follow in Oconee Mound Cemetery in Oconee. Hough-Dean Funeral home is serving the family.
Mrs. Baker was born in Nokomis, a daughter of Millard Graden and Nellie Edith (Teter) Rhodes. She was a member of Schram City United Pentecostal Church, was an excellent cook and baker and enjoyed gardening. She was employed as a nurse’s aide at Golden Manor Nursing Home in Nokomis and was a home health care provider. She married Robert Easley and he preceded her in death. She later married Ralph Baker and he preceded her in death on Dec. 30, 2018.
She is survived by her sons, David (Lora) Easley of Schram City and Virgil Easley of Taylorville; daughters, Bertha Elwood of Witt and Mary (Mark) Wade of Jacksonville, AL; grandchildren, Robert Easley of Springfield, Cecil Klemann of Jacksonville, FL, Chastity Klemann of Jacksonville, FL, Angel Friesland of Florida, David Easley Jr. of St. Elmo, Jessica Easley of Pana, Robert Harris of Jacksonville, AL, Richard Elwood of Hillsboro; Harold Elwood of Coffeen, Johnathon Harris of Litchfield, James Harris of Palmer and Angelica Hammond of Jacksonville, AL; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her parents, Millard and Nellie Rhodes; daughter, Verna Klemann; siblings, Bobby Rhodes, Dusty Rhodes and Mary Elizabeth Rhodes; and infant granddaughter, Amy Friesland.
