Dotty Rogene Redfern, 96, of Dardenne Prairie, MO, died at 11:22 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2019, at Caregivers Inn in Dardenne Prairie, MO.
Visitation will be held from noon, until time of service, on Saturday, Jan. 4, at Barkley Funeral Chapel, located at 114 Courthouse Square in Toledo. Services will begin at 1 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Toledo Cemetery.
Mrs. Redfern was born on Jan. 28, 1923, in Greenup, to George and Cora (Spessard) Hutton. She graduated from Greenup High School Class in 1940 and then obtained her beautician license. She married Ralph Redfern on June 15, 1946, he preceded her in death in 1994.
Mrs. Redfern was a busy homemaker and successful beautician for many years. She assisted her husband in the operation of their business, Redfern Farm Supply of Litchfield, for nearly 40 years. When Mr. Redfern was elected Mayor of Litchfield, she worked as his secretary throughout his time in office.
Mrs. Redfern is survived by her children, Steve (Margaret) Redfern of Merrimack, NH, Stanley (Jacquie) Redfern of Glenwood Springs, CO and Susan (Dennis) Kamman of O’Fallon, MO; grandchildren, Daniel (Sharon) Redfern of Hudson, NH, Jessica Redfern of Springfield, Kathryn Canady of Wright City, MO and Kendall Kamman of O’Fallon, MO; great-grandchildren, Cassandra Redfern of Northwood, NH, Caitlin Redfern of Georgetown, MA, Aleyna Canady of Wright City, MO, Julian Kenter of Springfield and Cole Lovelady of Wright City, MO;brother-in-Law Richard (Nora) Redfern of Springfield, sister-in-law, Lilis Morgan of Toledo; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Clyde Hutton and George Hutton.
