Doyet Davis, 84, of Nokomis, formerly of Ramsey, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2020, at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 14, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Grace Fellowship Church in Fillmore. Memorial services will follow at 11 a.m. at the church with Pastor Myron Kirk officiating. Miller Funeral Home in Ramsey is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Davis was born May 10, 1935, in Fayette County, the son of Wilbert H. and Maggie E. (Murkins) Davis. He married Dorothy Groves, then later married Robin Dickerson and then Debra Godwin.
A home builder, he worked his whole life building things. He was affiliated with Grace Fellowship Church in Fillmore.
He is survived by sons, Dean (Brenda) Davis of West Frankfort and Ben (Estelle) Davis of Ramsey; daughters, Karen (Paul) Hebenstreit and Jackie (Jeff) Sutton, all of Ramsey; brothers, Joe (Sylvia) Davis of Oconee, Gale (Barb) Davis of Ramsey and Jerry (Nancy) Davis of Moweaqua; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and special grandson, Clifton (Amanda) Davis of Nokomis.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Harold, Donnie, Daryl and Everett.
Memorials may be made to Grace Fellowship Church in Fillmore.
