Dr. Debra Lynn Noyes, 58, of Hillsboro died at 9:47 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 17, at the Free Methodist Church in Hillsboro with the Rev. Randy Sands, pastor of the Free Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro. Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.

Dr. Noyes was born in Hillsboro on Aug. 24, 1954, the daughter of Harold Dean and Marilyn Louise (Fiegenbaum) Sitton. She married Mark Noyes in Hillsboro on May 29, 1976, and he survives.

She lived her entire life in Hillsboro and was a 1972 Hillsboro High School graduate. She earned her bachelor's from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, master's from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville and a doctorate from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.

Dr. Noyes was a college professor at Greenville College and a member of the Free Methodist Church in Hillsboro. She loved to read and spend time with her family and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Matthew (wife Michelle) Noyes of Troy, Christopher (wife Vanilda) Noyes of Cleveland, OH, and Lindsay (husband Corry) Richardson of Hillsboro; her mother in Hillsboro; seven grandchildren, Kade and Kambri Richardson and Emilia, Dominic, Mattie, Morgan and McGrady Noyes; one sister, Sandra (husband Bill) Koss of Villa Grove; and two brothers, Robb Sitton of Springfield and Doug (wife Dawn) Sitton of Belleville.

Dr. Noyes was preceded in death by her father.

Memorials may be directed to the Hillsboro Pre-Kindergarten program, Hillsboro Free Methodist Church or the Greenville College Education Department.
