Fox Valley Off Road in Wedron closed out its racing season on Oct. 3 and 4 and several area racers were there for the final gran prix and hare scramble of the season.
In Saturday’s gran prix races, the Duff, Lentz and Lowe families hit the course, bringing home a win and two second place finishes.
Two of those top threes would come in the same race as Cooper Duff took first in the 65cc class, with Travis Lentz taking second.
Three of the boys would compete in the 85cc Super Mini division, with Zach Duff taking fourth, Mitchell Lowe placing seventh in just his second race ever, and Tyler Lentz coming in eighth.
The parents weren’t left out of the action though, as Ryan Duff was second in the 40+ A division and Alison Lentz was fourth in the women’s division.
The hare scrambles were on tap for Sunday, Oct. 4, with more success in the cards.
Travis Lentz and Cooper Duff would again finish 1-2 in the 65cc class, with Lentz taking first this time and Duff earning the runner-up spot. In the youth bikes division, Duff would finish 11th overall, while Lentz was 20th.
Tyler Lentz would finish fifth in the Super Mini division and 28th in youth bikes, while Morrisonville’s Jhenner Walker was fourth in the 50cc Senior class.
Litchfield racers Ryan and Jim Komor both ran in the 201 Open C Class, with Ryan placing third overall and Jim taking 19th place.
The final AMA District 17 hare scramble of the season is scheduled for Nov. 15, in Keithsburg.
