Edith Sue Hill, 75, of Ramsey, died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2023, at the Pana Community Hospital emergency room.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 8, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Miller Funeral Home in Ramsey. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 11 a.m. with Pastor Joe Lawson officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in rural Ramsey.
Mrs. Hill was born Oct. 16, 1947, in Salem, the daughter of Donald Lee and Betty Mae (Sellers) Clark. She married Frankie Lee Hill on April 12, 1986, in Ramsey.
A computer programer/analyst for the Horace Mann Company in Springfield for 33 years, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Mrs. Hill is survived by her husband; daughters Saundra (Michael) Jones of Cedar Lake, IN and Lisa (Ervine)Vohlken of Fillmore; brothers Gary Akes of Salem, Mike (Julie) Akes of Dyersburg, TN, Ricky (Monica) Akes of Mt. Vernon and Paul (Kathy) Akes of Johnston City; sisters Jeannie (Larry) Marks of Branson, MO, Terri Adams and Sherri Scheffler, both of Salem, Joan (Duane) Sorenson and Holly Clark, both of Fresno, CA; sisters-in-law Brenda Clark and Betty Lowrance; grandchildren Ethan Vohlken, Clayton Reicher, Aaron Jones and Ashley Craig; great-grandchildren Wyatt, Mackenzie and Dennis; and stepmother Jean Clark, of Fresno, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Guy Clark, stepfather Edgar Akes and sister-in-law Amber Virden and her husband.
