Edward Jay Chesus, 82, of Gillespie, died at Gillespie Health and Rehab Center on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 5:09 am.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Mr. Chesus was born August 26, 1943, in Litchfield, to Edward J. Chesus and Rae Marie Hull Palier.
He married Carol (Jalinsky) Chesus. He was a retired sales engineer and enjoyed hunting, fishing and his family most of all.
Mr. Chesus is survived by his spouse, Carol Chesus of Gillespie; children, Steve (Jennifer) Biggs of Franklin, TN, Dana (Jamie) Callaway of Glendale, MO, and Tim Chesus of Granite City; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Alayna, Chase, Quinn, Celia, Charlie, Luke and William; siblings, Linda (John) Fassero of Gillespie, Gina (Bill) Wright of Gillespie, and Louis Daley of Gillespie.
He was preceded in death by parents.
