Eleanor June Dubetz, 93, of Benld, died at 7:38 a.m. on Monday, June 19, 2023, at Calhoun Nursing and Rehab Center.
Funeral mass was celebrated on Friday, June 23, at St. Joseph’s Church in Benld. Burial was at Benld Cemetery. Kravanya Funeral Home in Benld assisted the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Dubetz was born on March 19, 1930, in Mt. Olive, to Michael Jatcko, Sr., and Eleanor (Hefner) Jatcko. She married Alex Dubetz on Sept. 5, 1953, in Benld, and he preceded her in death on June 29, 2012. Mrs. Dubetz worked at Brown Shoe Factory, East Side Bakery and Rice Stix Dress Factory. She was a member of the Mt. Olive VFW Auxiliary and Green Oaks Garden Club. Mrs. Dubetz was also a former Girl Scout Leader, and a volunteer at Heritage Health of Gillespie.
Mrs. Dubetz is survived by her children, Judy (Jeffrey) Dubetz Hagen of Godfrey, Loreen (John) DeAntoni of Wildwood, MO, and Jonathan (Raymelle) Dubetz of Pittsburg; grandchildren, Marissa DeAntoni and Christopher DeAntoni; siblings, Monica Woods of Orland Park, Michael (Pat) Jatcko of Litchfield and Patricia Schwab of Litchfield; and brother-in-law, Bill Kasich.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Joan Kasich; and brothers-in-law, Jim Wood and Buel Schwab.
