Electronic Recycling Drive Planned For This Saturday

Montgomery County Recycling, in partnership with BLH Computers, will host their semi-annual electronics recycling drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Litchfield Recycling Center, located at the corner of Illinois and Ryder streets. The following items will be accepted for free: answering machines, battery backups and uninterruptable power supplies (UPS), camcorders, cameras, cellular/mobile phones, Christmas tree lights, computer peripherals  (keyboards, mice), desktop computers, DVD/CD players, fax machines, ink cartridges, laptops, LCD monitors, mail-room equipment, networking equipment and cables, pagers, point of sale equipment, power and accessory cables, power tools including batteries, printers (for large office printers please contact your local store), projectors, radios, receivers, satellite and cable equipment, speakers, smart phones, surge suppressors and power strips, tablets, telephones (including PBX equipment, toner, VCR's, video game consoles and walkie-talkies.

The following items will be accepted for a fee: CRT monitors for $10, CRT televisions for $20, flat screen televisions for $20, projection televisions for $40 and console televisions for $40.
