Ellis Edward Billiter, Jr., age 81, of Litchfield, died at 9:29 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 20, 2023, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon.
Visitation for Mr. Billiter will be held on Thursday, Aug. 24, beginning at 10 a.m. at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Gary Schwab, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Litchfield, officiating. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield.
Mr. Billiter was born on May 29,1942, in Litchfield, a son of Ellis E. and Dorothy E. (Wilson) Billiter, Sr.
He graduated from Litchfield High School, and went on to serve his country in the United States National Guard. A member of the First Baptist Church of Litchfield, he enjoyed reading, walking and watching sports, especially basketball.
Mr. Billiter is survived by two brothers, Harry (Marge) Billiter of Florissant, MO, and Richard Billiter of Mt. Olive, and one sister, Carol Shoultz of Litchfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
