Elsie L. Lewis, 93, of Mason City, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2020, at 7:20 a.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Feb. 1, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Luke Wolford officiating. Burial will be held in Mason City Cemetery.

Mrs. Lewis was born Dec. 14, 1926, in Hudson, the daughter of William Bustle and Agnes Noble. She married G. Cargill Lewis on Nov. 8, 1946, in Mason City, and he preceded her in death.

A member of the First Baptist Church in Mason City, she was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed quilting and genealogy, but her greatest joy was her grandchildren.

She is survived by three children, Robert (Connie) Lewis of St. Peters, MO, Monica (Roger) Banister of Mason City and Mark (Mona) Lewis of Litchfield; four grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one stepgreat-great-grandchild; and her sister, Ollie Fancher of Mason City.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by grandson, Troy Lewis; sister, Gertrude Bass; and brother, Robert Bustle.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Mason City or Mason City Area Nursing Home Activity Department.
