Erik Michael Klein, 33, died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020, in Washington State.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 21, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Young Funeral Home in Greenville. Graveside services will follow in Hazel Dell Cemetery.

Mr. Klein was born Aug. 22, 1986, at Oliver Anderson Hospital in Maryville. His parents are David Klein of Venice, FL, and Beverly Klein of Greenville.

He grew up in Sorento, where he attended Sorento School, as well as Greenville High School. In 1994, he attained his GED, then a few college degrees in computer, in which he excelled. He moved to Vandalia for a few years, then back home, before returning to Vandalia. He moved to Spokane, WA, two years ago.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by three brothers, Jason (Doneva) Klein of Greenville, Stephen (Morghan Kapp) Klein of Marine and Ryan Klein of Sorento; half siblings, sister, Willow Klein and brother, August Klein, both of Venice, FL; nieces, Kauleen Zeh and Laia Klein; nephews, Brendan Embry, Gabe Klein, Colton Klein and Victor Robitsch; aunts and uncles, Linda, Darla and Mike, Randy, Barb and Doug, Jim Hickman and Brenda; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Velma and George Klein, and Bertha and James Hickman; uncles, Gary and Steve; and cousin, Gary Rodgers.

Memorials may be made to the Lost and Found Church in Greenville or D.A.R.E.
