Eunice “Jean” Raymond died on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the age of 94.
Friends may call on Friday, May 29 at Kravanya Funeral Home in Bunker Hill from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Funeral services are Friday, May 29, at 11:30 a.m. at Kravanya Funeral Home in Bunker Hill. Burial will be at Woodburn Cemetery in Woodburn.
Mrs. Raymond was born July 22, 1931, in Carlinville to Louis Lenzi and Mary Chiappini Lenzi. She married Carl H. Raymond on August 29, 1948, in Chesterfield. He preceded her in death on May 12, 2016.
Mrs. Raymond served actively in the community in PTA (President), Band Boosters, Boy Scouts and in many other ways. She was on the Township Board for eight years and she and her husband Carl worked as election judges for many years. She retired as manager from Computer Service Corp. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Woodburn in Bunker Hill and a 50 year members of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Raymond and her husband enjoyed traveling in Europe and in all of the other US states. Her and her husband’s greatest accomplishment was their ability with the help of other village residents to obtain city water for the Village of Woodburn through their long and challenging three year endeavor. Her love for music was surpassed only by her love for family and friends.
Mrs. Raymond is survived by her son, Michael D. Raymond of Bethalto; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Raymond was preceded in death by her husband, her parents; and her brother, Louis J. Lenzi Jr.
