Evelyn Louise Carlock, 68, of Coffeen, died Friday, Oct. 29, 2021 at 10:50 a.m. at her mother’s residence.
Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Olive Hill Cemetery in Coffeen. Family and friends will meet at Toberman-Dean Funeral Home in Coffeen at 12:30 to proceed to the cemetery. The Rev. Mark Noyes will officiate.
Ms. Carlock was born June 10, 1953 in Vandalia, the daughter of Clyde Rex and Lucille (McDonough) Carlock Gorsage. She was a graduate of Hillsboro High School and received a B.A.in Education from McKendree University in Lebanon.
She had worked in payroll and then as a counselor at Graham Correctional Center in Hillsboro. She loved to quilt and belonged to several quilting groups. She also loved to travel.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Ms. Carlock is survived by her mother; a sister Beverly Whalen of Coffeen; niece Ann Whalen; and nephews Mark and John Whalen.
