It's been a productive summer of racing for siblings Bristol and Bodee Everett of Litchfield.
The pair are currently in the top three in points in three divisions in the Metro St. Louis Quarter Midget Racing Association, which races at Tri-City Junior Speedway in Granite City. Unfortunately, several of their races have been rained out this season, with their most recent date on the schedule, July 20, cancelled due to excessive heat.
Bristol is currently second in the Heavy World Formula division with 185 points. After finishing second in her first race, she would go on to win the race on May 18 and July 6, challenging the track record for the division in the process. Bristol also raced one race in the Light World Formula division, placing third in the event on April 13.
Bodee is currently third in both the Junior Honda and Junior Animal standings. The young racer posted wins in Junior Honda twice this season, to go along with a fourth place finish and a fifth place finish.
In Junior Animal, Bodee started the season with a sixth place finish, but has improved over the last three races, finishing second on April 27 and winning the race on July 6. He has also ran one race in the Light 160 division, finishing fourth overall.
In addition to the track time in Granite City, the Everetts have also competed in a regional race in Lincoln put on by the Abraham Lincoln Quarter Midget Association and in a race in Taylorville on July 7, put on by the Christian County Quarter Midget Association. In the Taylorville race, Bristol finished second in the Heavy World division, while Bodee was first in the Junior Animal class and second in Junior Honda.
