Farrie M. (Kean) Burris Ihns, 102, of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at Tremont Ridge Assisted Living in Hillsboro.

A private family burial will be held at a later date in Cress Hill Cemetery in Hillsboro. Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is assisting the family.

Mrs. Ihns was born Aug. 5, 1916, to Joel and Susan (Conlon) Kean. She married Leo Burris, and he preceded her in death. She then married Frank Ihns, and he preceded her in death.

She went to Honey Bend School and worked at Hillsboro Glass in Hillsboro. After she raised her family, she enjoyed traveling to all 50 states.

Mrs. Ihns was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lost Nation, IA, various card clubs in Iowa and a Montgomery County VFW. She was also the last member of the Taylor Springs Birthday Club.

She is survived by two daughters, Norma J. Clemens of Hillsboro and Alice M. (Marvin) Elam of Taylor Springs; four grandchildren, Pam (Kelly) Mackey, Kathy Cox, Laura Williams and Frank (Carol) Elam; eight great-grandchildren, Kelly (Michael) Duncan, Adam, Luke and Karli Mackey, Chad and Josh Feeney, and Brevan and Stephen Flaugher; three great-great-grandchildren, James and George Duncan, and Daniel Flaugher; and one sister, Pansey Day.

In addition to her parents and two husbands, she was preceded in death by three children, Leo Burris, Dorothy Robinson and Jimmy in infancy; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Rodney; two great-great-grandchildren, Kayla Powers and Brittany Powers and siblings, Frank Kean, Mabel Dortch, her twin brother, Harry Kean and Jack Kean.
