Felix J. Fowler, 87, of Havana, died Sunday, July 19, 2020, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held on Friday,  July 24, at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Havana with Father David Whiteside officiating. Burial will be held in Joel Hall Cemetery in Athens on Monday, July 27. Hurley Funeral Home in Havana is assisting the family.

Mr. Fowler was born Aug. 25, 1932, in Pawnee, to Alfred and Christine (Walz) Fowler. He married Sarah J. Smith on Feb. 19, 1955, in Virden, and she preceded him in death on July 16, 2011.

He served in the Navy during the Korean War. A member of  St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Havana, he was a lineman for CIPS/Ameren, retiring after 42 years.

Mr. Fowler is survived by his children, Steve Fowler of Athens, Craig (Vicky) Fowler of Petersburg, Jeanean Fowler of Springfield, Zane Fowler of Havana and Mark (Casey) Fowler of Havana; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Tom (Jeanie) Fowler; and sister, Marge Cathcart.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nadean Sisk; and grandson, Justin Fowler.
