Even though I have been retired from Litchfield Unit #12 as assistant superintendent for a while, I still have a strong interest in the well-being and quality of the Litchfield district. There is nothing more important to a community than to ensure the school district is run so kids have the greatest opportunity to learn and are prepared to move on to their adult lives.
For this reason, I endorse Mike Fleming who is running for the Litchfield board of education in the upcoming April election. Mike is an outstanding businessman who has deep roots in the Litchfield community. He has been honored by the local chamber of commerce and has always been a community leader.
He is a family man with three daughters currently enrolled in Litchfield schools, and with a wife who has done a great deal of volunteer work in the district. I firmly believe interest in the schools comes not after an event or an experience, but as you and your family journey through the education process.
For the reasons stated, I strongly urge each of you to vote in the school board election and vote for Mike Fleming.
