Frances “Shug” Ann Jett, 85, of Donnellson, died on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026, at Tremont Assisted Living in Hillsboro.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield is assisting the Jett family.
Mrs. Jett was born on Dec. 3, 1940, in Ashley, a daughter of Walter and Hazel (Lamar) Ceglinski. She married Darrell M. Jett on May 14, 1983, in Mulberry Grove. He preceded her in death on Sept. 9, 2024.
Mrs. Jett worked at Greenville Hospital until her retirement in 2003. Beyond her hospital work, she owned and operated Red Ball Express, a self-employed cleaning business. Mrs. Jett was known for her cooking skills, particularly her love for cooking and hosting large family dinners. She loved painting pictures and was a talented photographer. Mrs. Jett was a creative soul who left behind a beautiful legacy through her art and photography.
Mrs. Jett is survived by her sons, Don Ray of Hillsboro and James Ray of Coffeen; stepson, Darrell (Danielle) Jett, Jr. of Hillsboro; stepdaughter, Valerie Jett of Greenville; brother, Ben Ceglinski; grandchildren, Anne (Alex) Jett Wentzel, Katlynn (John) Rickman, Kyle (Jaylie) Jett, Isiah Roberts, Ashan (Diehdre) Gibbs, Mitchell Ray, Jordan (Claire) Ray, Austin Ray, James Ray, Bridget Ray, Cheyenne Patterson, Axton Cleeton and Harper Cleeton; and several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Jett was preceded in death by her parents.
