Frances Marie (Jones) Cole, 83, of Coffeen died at 11:54 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2019.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Toberman Dean Funeral Home in Coffeen. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 31, beginning at 2 p.m. at Toberman Dean Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Schwab officiating. Burial will follow at Waveland Cemetery in Hillsboro.

Mrs. Cole was born on Jan. 1, 1936, in East Fork Township in Montgomery County to the late Paul Francis and Edna Marie (Kimbro) Jones. She married James H. "Jim" Cole on Feb. 23, 1957 at East Fork Church, and he preceded her in death on March 3, 2005.

A graduate of Coffeen High School, she spent her lifetime in Taylor Springs and Coffeen. Mrs. Cole made quilts, babysat in her home and was a housewife. She was a member of East Fork Baptist Church.

Mrs. Cole is survived by two daughters, Debra (husband Richard) Kent of Coffeen and Joyce (husband John) Bauerle of Witt; one son, Michael (wife Heidi) Cole of St. Elmo; four grandchildren, Chris Kent of Claremont, Jared Kent of Coffeen, Joshua Cole of St. Elmo and Valerie (Brett) Wexstten of Nokomis; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Frieda (husband Roy) Perfetti of Coffeen and one brother, James Jones of Branson, MO.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Matthew Kent.
