Fred Allen Koller, 69, died at 7:22 p.m., on Monday, July 3, 2023, at his home in Walshville.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.Becker and Son Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Koller was born on Aug. 1, 1953, in Granite City to Charles Koller and Vivian (Lanham) Koller. He married Marcia Barker on Aug. 13, 2001, and she survives. Mr. Koller worked at the former Granite City Steel as a steel mill operator. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. As a carpenter, he had a real passion for wood-working.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Koller is survived by a son, Shawn Koller; daughters, Kimberly Koller and Sarah Koller; a step-son, Ben (Shelly) Barker; and a step-daughter, Amy Fitzwater.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Bryan and Keith.
