Freda Louise (Bost) Chumley, 89, of Coffeen, died at 12:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, at Montgomery Nursing and Rehab in Taylor Springs.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 12, at Toberman Dean Funeral Home in Coffeen. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13, at the funeral home with the Rev. Harry Kirk, pastor of Liberty Church in Bingham, officiating. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Fillmore.

Mrs. Chumley was born in Fillmore on Nov. 24, 1922, the daughter of the late Ralph and Wilda (Downs) Bost. She married Kenneth Chumley in St. Charles, MO, on Dec. 29, 1939, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 31, 1987.

A farm wife, she lived in the Fillmore and Coffeen area and was a member of Coffeen Home Extension and Chapman Ladies Aid. She loved gardening, canning and quilting.

Mrs. Chumley is survived by a daughter, Jean (husband Kenny) Brown of Coffeen; four grandchildren, Kenny (wife Ellen) Moore, Phil (wife Mary Jo) Moore, Glenn (wife Trina) Moore and Wade Moore; three great-grandchildren, Aaron (wife Sheila) Moore, Mindy Moore and Annie (husband Jason) Barringer; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Edwin Bost; and one sister, Ethal Meyers.
