George H. Huber, 84, of Vandalia, died on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2020, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, Feb. 18, at Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery in Hillsboro, with Pastor Joe Lawson officiating. Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Huber was born on Aug. 21, 1935, in Hillsboro, to Francis Harold and Betty Huber. He married Debra Lynn Sargent on Oct. 15, 2004, in Clinton. Mr. Huber was a veteran of the US Army, a retired lawyer, farmer and electrician. In his spare time, he enjoyed country music, planting fruit trees and ham radio.
Mr. Huber is survived by his wife; step-daughter, Crystal Keith of Vandalia; granddaughter, Allison (John) Covington of Herrin; step-grandchildren, Jacob and Tiffany; and great-grandchildren, Reed, Willow and Joey.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Shirley.
