Georgia Ann Sellers, 70, of Litchfield, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2019, at 12:58 p.m. at HSHS St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.
A memorial service and Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Interment will be held in Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield. Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Sellers was born Nov. 26, 1949, the daughter of Norman Dale and Sydney Anna (Zuptich) Sawyer. She married James Kenneth Sellers on Sept. 29, 1968, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 20, 2009.
A 1969 graduate of Litchfield Community High School, she received a master's degree from Phoenix University in accounting. She was a member of the Christian Church in Litchfield.
She was a great seamstress and made a lot of children's clothes and wedding dresses for her daughter and daughters-in-law. She loved to crochet and enjoyed cooking for her family.
Primarily a homemaker, she had worked at Roller Derby Skate Corporation, Barry Care Nursing Home and babysat for numerous children over the years.
She is survived by two sons, James "Kenney" (Shawanna) Sellers, Jr. of Litchfield and Michael "Tom" Sellers of Litchfield; daughter, Melissa (Keith) Millsap of Litchfield; nine grandchildren, Nickole (Chris) Penfield, Daniele Bucci, James "Clinton" (fiancee Jamaica Burke) Sellers, Gage Sellers, Corey Millsap, Geoffrey (fiancee Kaitlyn Branham) Millsap, and Kimberly, Rebecca and Abigail Millsap; seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brother, Burt Sawyer.
Memorials may be made to the Litchfield Food Pantry or Hearts United.
