Gina Marie (nee Hagemeier) Birrittier, 58, of Waterloo, died on April 30, 2026, in St. Louis, MO.
Funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 6, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waterloo. Pastor Benjamin Hayter officiated. Interment followed at Kolmer Memorial Cemetery in Waterloo.
Mrs. Birrittier was born on May 27, 1967, in Hillsboro. She was a seed rep for Bayer Crop Sciences.
Mrs. Birrittier was involved in various activities and committees with Immanuel Lutheran Church and active in Waterloo FFA Alumni.
Mrs. Birrittier enjoyed relaxing at her pool and going to any beach. She completed several half marathons and other running events. She enjoyed reading her Kindle; watching the Cardinals and the Blues; meals at Bean Tree Cafe; and cuddling her dog Rosey. She will be remembered for the wisdom, kindness, faith, and love she instilled to her family and friends.
Mrs. Birrittier is survived by her husband, Dominic J. Birrittier Jr.; children, Miranda (Eric) Schmidt and Joseph (Lexi) Birrittier; grandchildren, Kelsey Schmidt, Wade Schmidt and baby boy Birrittier expected this July; mother, Dorothy Hagemeier; sisters, Michelle (Glenn) Petersen and Tammy (Mark) Bertolino; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; nieces; nephews; and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Carroll Hagemeier.
