Glendora G. Godbersen, 74, of Ramsey, died on Monday, Nov. 18, 2019, at HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Nov. 21, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church in Vandalia. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 12 p.m. at the church with Pastor Joe Lawson and Dr. Ben Foxworth co-officiating. Burial will take place in Prairie Cemetery in rural Ramsey. Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Godbersen was born March 6, 1945, in Oreana, to Herbert Moss and Francis Georgine (Lambert) Thomas. She married Harold Jess Godbersen on June 25, 1967, in Decatur, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 29, 2000.

A member of the Bethel Baptist Church in rural Vandalia, she served as a crafts counselor at Rehoboth Church Camp. She was also a room mom and was active in the comunity as a 4-H leader.

Mrs. Godbersen was a homemaker and later worked at Walmart.

She is survived by a son, Tyson (Jessica) Godbersen of Brownstown; daughters, DeAnna (Roy) Clark of Vandalia, Julie (Greg) Waters of Hillsboro and Beverly (Randy) Quick of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Tiffany and Daniel, Justin, Tyler and Danielle, Dayin and Taylor, Matthew and Maddy, James, Braden, Dalton, Tommy, Nick, Megan, Trista and Kyle; great-grandchildren, Cambree, Ryker, Amelia and Tinley; brothers, Lynn (Doris) Thomas of Brownstown and Clint Thomas of St. Peter; and sisters, Carol Bales of Colfax and Loretta Meseke of St. Peter.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dale, Gene, Dean and Delbert; sisters, Florance, Shirley and Velma; and one great-grandchild, Keeley.
