Gloria F. Hopper, 80, of Litchfield, formerly of Staunton, died Thursday, May 21, 2020, at 4:15 p.m. her residence.
No services are scheduled at this time. Williamson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Mrs. Hopper was born Nov. 10, 1939, in East St. Louis, the daughter of the late Arthur Stevenson and Edna Marie (Krieg) Smiddy. She married Lowell Dean Hopper on May 18, 1956, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 22, 2009.
For many years, she was an assembly worker at Roller Derby in Litchfield. She also worked in the housekeeping department at Community Memorial Hospital in Staunton and volunteered with the Litchfield Fire Department for years.
She is survived by a daughter, Dixie McDaniel of New Athens; granddaughter, Debra Hopper of Mt. Olive; three great-grandchildren, Lukas, Ashlynn and Christopher; brother, Gordon Smiddy of Hillsboro; and sister, Myrna Everett of Carlyle.
