Gloria June Everett, 78, of Harvel, died on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at her home.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of service on Friday, May 12, at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield.
Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Joseph Nehring of Trinity Lutheran Church in Harvel officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Honey Bend. Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Everett was born on May 26, 1944, in Morrisonville, a daughter of Harvey Harry and Ethel Sophie (Monke) Schmidt, She married Larry Gene Everett on Aug. 31, 1963, at Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield, and he preceded her in death on March 29, 2023.
Mrs. Everett graduated from Raymond High School with the Class of 1962. She was employed for several years as a policy services representative with Horace Mann Insurance in Springfield. Mrs. Everett was a talented crocheter, and enjoyed going to yard sales and playing Phase 10 card games. She especially enjoyed going to car shows with her husband, Larry, where he won over 100 trophies with their show vehicles. Mrs. Everett loved her dogs and cats.
Mrs. Everett is survived by her sister, Ruth Ann Mize of Bunker Hill; sister-in-law, Sheila Reed of Iuka; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Lee Schmidt.
