 Zonna Elane Culbreth, 77 of Johnston City died at 11:05 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, 2019, in Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO, with her family by her side.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26 at Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Brian Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City.

Mrs. Culbreth was born June 22, 1942, in Herrin to Edward and Marie (Lane) James. She was married to Raymond Culbreth on April 20, 1963 in Energy. He preceded her in death on June 19, 2008. Together they shared 45 years of marriage.

Mrs. Culbreth was retired, having been employed by the Johnston City State Bank for several years. She was also employed by Borens IGA in Herrin for several years.

Mrs. Culbreth is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Raene and David Summers of Johnston City; three sisters, Frances Harvel of Kansas City, MO, Shirley (Charles) Williams of Carterville and Janice (Brad) Grimes of Hillsboro; a sister-in-law, Linda (John) Lorenzo of Marion and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, George Harvel, Ricky “Jason” Culbreth and Larry and Judy Culbreth.
