Gregory “Greg” Len Moore, 67, of Springfield, died on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2020, at 3:52 p.m. at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Sept. 5, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Farmersville United Methodist Church in Farmersville. A service to share memories of Mr. Moore will follow, beginning at 5 p.m. at the church. Those attending are encouraged to follow CDC guidelines by wearing masks and social distancing. Burial will be held at a later date in Rovey Cemetery near Farmersville. Hough Funeral Home in Raymond is assisting the family.

Mr. Moore was born Nov. 14, 1952, in Litchfield, to Harry W. and Margurette “Peggy” M. (Beil) Moore. He was previously married to Linda Bullard in 1981.

Following his high school education, he began his over 33-year career in electrical power production with Commonwealth Edison in Kincaid, and most recently CWLP in Springfield as a supervisor of generation.

Mr. Moore was a member of the United Methodist Church in Farmersville, and had served as the mayor of Harvel and on the Harvel Fire Department. He enjoyed boating on the river near Grafton and loved spending time entertaining friends and family. He had a great appreciation for all music and loved his dogs.

He is survived by two sisters, Elaine (husband Robert) Walch of Raymond and Denise (husband Craig Manifold) Moore of Helotes, TX; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many good friends.

Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents.
