Harold Fricke, 97

Harold Fricke, 97, died at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019, in the Medallion Retirement Community's skilled nursing facility in Colorado Springs, CO.

Mr. Fricke was buried with his wife in Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, CO. 

He  was born on Jan. 1, 1922. Mr. Fricke was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1941. He was stationed in California where he met his wife, Rosalie (Hubbard). The couple married in 1945.

Following Mr. Fricke's discharge from the army in 1946, the couple moved East of Raymond. Mr. Fricke farmed from 1947 through 1983, when he retired and moved to Colorado Springs, CO. In 2008, the Fricke's moved into an independent living facility at The Medallion Retirement Community where they spent the remainder of their years.

An avid Cubs fan, Mr. Fricke would say that he just wanted to live long enough to see the Cubs win the World Series.

Mr. Fricke is survived by his sons Wayne Fricke and Lynn Fricke; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul; and a sister, Judy Gipson. 

He was preceded in death, by his parents; and his wife.
