Harold Maynard Graham, 96, of Litchfield, formerly of Raymond, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2019, at 8:36 p.m. at the Timber Creek Assissted Living Facility in Litchfield.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 23, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Litchfield Family Funeral Service in Litchfield. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 24, at 10 a.m. at the Community of Faith Church in Raymond. Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery in Raymond.

Mr. Graham was born on Feb. 16, 1923, in Raymond, the son of William "Bill" and Gerhardena (Westhoff) Graham. He graduated from Raymond High School with the class of 1941 and married the former Norma Powell on Feb. 15, 1951, in Raymond, and she survives.

A veteran of the United States Army during World War II, Mr. Graham was a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division and the 82nd Airborne Division. He was stationed in several European locations during his enlistment and was awarded the EAME Theatre Ribbon with one Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal World War II and the Occupation Medal.

After the war, Mr. Graham farmed in the Harvel and Raymond area until he retired in 2001. He was a member of and elder at the First Prebyterian Church of Raymond and was the president of Asbury Cemetery in Raymond for many years.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Graham is survived by sons Steven (Karen) Graham of Naples, FL, John (Mari) Graham of Redmond, OR and Gary (Jill) Graham of Carlinville; three grandchildren, Alyssa (Trevor) Long, Carlee Graham and Katie Graham; two great-grandchildren, Zoie and Fiona Long; brother Dale (Joan) Graham of Litchfield and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Velma Graham and brother, Lynn Graham.
