Hazel Belle Landreth, 83, of Alton, died at 11:45 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1, 2019, at Heritage Health of Litchfield.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 5, beginning at 9 a.m. at Becker and Son Funeral Home in Mt. Olive. Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Tommy Brewer officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Sorento.
Mrs. Landreth was born on March 12, 1936, in Walshville Township to the late Enos A. and Winnie R. (Reed) Gill. She married Sam Pastrovich, Jr. on Nov. 15, 1953, at the Litchfield Methodist Church, and that marriage ended in divorce. Mr. Pastrovich preceded her in death on Jan. 28, 2018. She would later marry Leroy E. Landreth on Nov. 4, 1978 in Alton, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 18, 2018.
Mrs. Landreth attended Hill School from 1942 to 1950 and attended Mt. Olive High School from 1951 until her graduation with the class of 1954. Following her high school graduation, she attended Kitzmillers Beauty Academy and graduated as a beautician. She spent many years as a self-employed hair dresser.
A member of the First United Methodist Church of Mt. Olive, she loved auctions and antiques.
Mrs. Landreth is survived by two sons, Sam (Marilyn) Pastrovich III of Litchfield and Steve (Pam) Pastrovich of Slippery Rock, PA; three brothers, Frank (Ivy) Gill of Mt. Olive, Norris (Karen) Gill of Mattoon and Harry Gill of Edwardsville; two sisters, Jackie (Elmer) Milcic of Mt. Olive and Clysta Gill of Texas; two granddaughters, Erin (Keith) Linnenbringer of Clayton, MO and Casey Pastrovich and spouse Thomas McManus of Manhattan, NY; three grandsons, Ryan (Sara) Pastrovich of Oak Park, Eric (Leah) Pastrovich of Walshville and Jacob (Mindy) Pastrovich of Brooklyn, NY; and eight great-grandchildren, Claire, Nathaniel, Parker, Arlo, Sailor, Evie, Hudson and Palmer.
In addition to her parents and her husbands, she was preceded in death by one brother, Enos Gill.
Memorial contributions in her honor may be made to the Mt. Olive Academic Foundation.
