Hazel (Bowman) Redman, 84, of Hillsboro, died on Thursday, June 25, 2020, at her daughter’s home in Port Charlotte, FL.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 17, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Wares Grove Lutheran Church in Butler. A memorial service will follow, beginning at 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. John Jaffry, pastor of Wares Grove Lutheran Church in Butler, officiating. Burial will be held in Wares Grove Cemetery in Butler.

Mrs. Redman was born June 9, 1936, in Butler Grove Township, to Ralph and Fern (Dorr) Bowman. She married Bill Redman on Sept. 18, 1955, at Wares Grove Lutheran Church in Butler, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 17, 2015.

She graduated from Hillsboro High School and became an entrepreneur, owning and operating Hiltop Bakery and Whispering Hills Christmas Tree Farm, both located in Hillsboro, with her husband. She retired from Kroger’s in Litchfield.

Mrs. Redman was a member of Wares Grove Lutheran Church in Butler and The Christmas Tree Growers Association. She resided in Hillsboro and Port Charlotte, FL, during her lifetime.

She is survived by her children, Pam Fusco of Port Charlotte, FL, Bruce (wife Nancy) Redman and Brian (wife Amy) Redman, both of Hillsboro, and Mike (companion Diane Quick) Redman of Taylorville; son-in-law, Kenny Hill; ten grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Helen (husband James) Brinkman of Hillsboro and Beverley (husband Donald) Davis of Coffeen.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Redman was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kathy S. Hill on Dec. 21, 2014; and siblings, Edith Gurtner, Dale Bowman, Alice Williams, Joyce Dickerson and Mildred Shelton.
