Health Officials Recommend Return To Virtual Church

To help stop the surge in COVID-19 coronavirus here, the Montgomery County Health Department is recommending that churches return to virtual or in-vehicle services for the next two weeks.

“Let’s step back for a couple of weeks and let this thing settle,” health department administrator Hugh Satterlee said.

Positive cases are up nearly 150 percent in Montgomery County since Phase 4 began on June 26, and the health department has linked the start of that surge to a church service in Litchfield on June 28.
