Helen M. Schwartz, 96, of Coalton, died on Friday, Aug. 2, 2019, at 8:38 p.m. in Nokomis Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Aug. 7, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Father Rodney Schwartz officiating. Burial will take place in St. Barbara's Catholic Cemetery in Witt.
Mrs. Schwartz was born July 13, 1923, in Wisconsin. She married Walter Schwartz on July 4, 1945, at St. Barbara's Catholic Church in Witt, and he preceded her in death on April 27, 2007.
A member of the Catholic faith, she finished eight years of education and worked at the Mars factory.
Mrs. Schwartz is survived by her children, William (Ann) Schwartz of Irving, Margaret (Aaron) Cantrell and Robert Schwartz, both of Franklin Park, Russel (Patricia) Schwartz of Emerald Grove, WI, Edward Schwartz of Mellon, WI, and Arthur (Christina) Schwartz of Coalton; 15 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and a brother, John (Loretta) Schwartz of River Grove.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ronald; and siblings, Charlotte, Hazel, Arthur, Edwin, Paul and Erna.
