The Hillsboro High School graduation ceremony scheduled for Friday, May 29, has been postponed until Sunday, May 31, beginning at 8 p.m. due to the rain in the weather forecast.
This postponement is necessary to ensure the integrity of the event and to protect the equipment and grounds, which will require two dry days.
“To our community members, the Hillsboro School District thanks you for the tremendous support you have shown the students and school during this challenging time,” said HHS Principal Patti Heyen. “We would like to ask your assistance again in helping us manage the logistics of this important ceremony by avoiding the area around the school grounds during the event.
This will reduce traffic and help us get all of the participants and their families safely parked.
“We invite you to experience the entire event live by tuning in on the HCUSD Facebook page,” said Heyen. “We look forward to seeing all our graduates on Sunday evening.”
