Hiram E. Williams, 79, of Harvel, died on Wednesday, May 6, 2020, at Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy.
Public inurnment with full military rites will be held at Harvel Cemetery at a later date. Hough Funeral Home in Raymond is assisting the family.
Mr. Williams was born March 7, 1941, in Eldorado, to Horace and Juanita (Tucker) Williams.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War era. He was certified in HVAC and retired from Henkel in 1991 after 20 years.
Mr. Wiliams lived in Kankakee for 20 years, before moving to Harvel 20 years ago.
He is survived by his daughter, Jill-Terese’ (John) Pope of Harvel; son, Elliot (Rebecca) Williams of Kankakee; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Lois Miller of Benld.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Shirley Burgess; and brother, John Williams.
