Holly Noelle Sargent, 45, of Ramsey, died on Saturday, April 3, 2021, at her home.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 6, beginning at 1 p.m. at Hortenstine Family Farm Cemetery in rural Ramsey with Pastor Larry Daniel officiating. Friends and family may gather at the cemetery at 12 p.m. Miller Funeral Home in Ramsey is assisting the family.
Ms. Sargent was born Dec. 14, 1975, in Vandalia, to Roger A. and Marcia (Hortenstine) Sargent.
She volunteered as a first grade teacher’s aid, reading to the children in Ramsey schools, and was known and loved as “Miss Holly.”
Ms. Sargent was a member of Ramsey Christian Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher. She loved to read, work with school children, play cards with her nieces and nephew, and had a special love for her Yorkies.
She is survived by her mother of Ramsey; brother, Josh; nieces and nephew, Anna, David and Evelyn; aunts; uncles; and many cousins.
Ms. Sargent was preceded in death by her father; maternal grandparents, Dan and Carolyn Hortenstine; paternal grandparents, Paul and Edna Sargent; aunt, Diane Hortenstine; uncles, Gene, Deano and Ken Sargent; and cousins, Daniel Hortenstine, Luke Hortenstine, Valerie (Hortenstine) Sheldon and Travis Sargent.
Memorials may be directed to Ramsey Community School’s Reading Program.
