Jack B. Crider, 87, of Litchfield, died on Sunday, Nov. 17, 2019, at 4 a.m. at his residence.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Crider was born Oct. 4, 1932, in Wood River, to James and Zelma (Hogle) Crider. He married Jacquelyn R. (Effinger) Crider, and she survives.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War Era. During his civilian career, he worked as a laborer for Laclede Steel.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Crider is survived by his children, Terry Crider of East Alton, Jack "Punker" (Christie) Crider of Alton and Suzy White of Florida; stepchildren, David (Barb) Crispens of Litchfield, Debbie (Mike) Cerkoski of Florida, John (Kim) Laux and Tina (Rob) Leader, both of Brighton, and Lori (Mike) Gray of Maryland; 24 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one brother, Al Crider of Alton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Cindy Lewis; sister, Shirley Crider; and brother, Gary Crider.
